Allies of Skin is recalling every lot and size of The One SPF 50 Invisible Sunscreen Gel after its own testing found the product may not reliably deliver the SPF 50 protection printed on the label, the company said in its recall notice. The FDA classified the action as a Class II recall in an enforcement report published September 1, 2026.
What the company found
Allies of Skin said internal testing identified concerns with the sunscreen's SPF performance and that it recalled all lots as a precaution. 'Use of the affected product could increase the risk of sunburn if consumers rely on the labelled SPF value for sun protection,' the company said, according to trade outlet Cosmetics Business.
Scope of the recall
- About 82,596 units are affected, spanning four sizes: 90 mL, 50 mL and 20 mL tubes, plus 3 mL sachets.
- The recall is nationwide, not limited to specific states.
- The company says no other Allies of Skin products are included.
- All lot numbers of The One SPF 50 Invisible Sunscreen Gel are affected.

Allies of Skin is directing customers to register the product at its recall portal, recallrtr.com/sunscreengel, and submit a photo of the item. Refunds are processed as a prepaid electronic gift card within 10 to 15 business days, according to the company and reporting from The Healthy.
