Verification before publication.
The check
Every factual claim in a Meridians article must be traceable to a source that a reader could reach. Before publication an editor verifies each claim against that source, confirms links resolve to the cited document, and confirms figures are current at the date of publication.
Dates and currency of information
Articles show a publication date and, where revised, an updated date. Where a rule or timetable is subject to change, we say so in the article rather than presenting a snapshot as permanent.
Reader reports
If you believe something we published is inaccurate, tell us through the contact page. Substantiated reports are actioned under our corrections policy.
