Trust & standards
Our mission
Reporting that reduces the cost of being an ordinary consumer.
The problem we exist to address
Consumer information online has been optimised for search ranking rather than for readers. The result is an abundance of buying advice that recommends without testing, explains without sourcing, and rarely tells you not to buy.
Meridians's purpose is to be useful in the specific moment a reader has a decision to make, and to be honest about the limits of what we know.
Our commitments
These are the commitments we hold every piece of Meridians content to.
- Answer the question first, then explain the reasoning.
- Link the primary source, so readers can check us.
- Say when something is unknown, unverified or still in testing.
- Never let commercial relationships shape a verdict.
- Correct errors in public, promptly and visibly.
