  • AirTag 2 (single): $24, down from $29; 4-pack: $80, down from $99 — both described as all-time lows
  • M6 Mac mini, 16GB/256GB: $880, down from its own $899 list price
  • Apple Watch SE 3 (Midnight, 44mm): $200, down from $280 — the lowest price tracked for that model

Mattresses, appliances and home

  • Mattress Firm: up to $700 off, plus a promotion pricing king-size mattresses at queen-size cost
  • Purple: up to $1,199 off mattress-and-base bundles
  • Home Depot: up to 60% off appliances, tools, grills and furniture
  • Best Buy: up to 45% off select major appliances, with free delivery

What to actually skip

NBC News Select's Labor Day roundup is explicit on this point: tech is not where the year's best prices show up. Its advice is to hold off on electronics until Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which it says consistently beat Labor Day pricing, and to treat toys and fall or winter apparel the same way. Bedding, mattresses and current-season clothing are where it says the discounts are genuinely at or near their yearly low right now.
