Amp Fit has recalled about 1,900 of its MP2 Smart Fitness Machines after the unit's adjustable arm failed to lock in place, allowing it to swing unexpectedly in at least 10 reported incidents. The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall January 6, 2026.
What went wrong
The MP2 is a wall-mounted, resistance-based strength-training machine with an adjustable arm used for full-body workouts. The CPSC says the arm doesn't lock properly, which can let it swing unexpectedly and pose a laceration or serious injury risk. Ten incidents have been reported, including lacerations to the head and bruising to the shoulder and other areas of the body.
