Apple has not published a product list ahead of time, as usual, but reporting from MacRumors and AppleInsider, built on supply-chain sourcing, converges on a specific lineup. None of the following is confirmed until Apple's keynote, and Meridians has not tested any of these products.

The iPhone 18 Pro

  • A new A20 Pro chip built on a 2-nanometer process, paired with Apple's C2 modem.
  • A new color option reported as 'dark cherry,' with no black option mentioned in current reports.
  • Possible under-display Face ID and a variable-aperture main camera on the Pro Max.
  • Reports point to a price increase of up to $300 over the iPhone 17 Pro.

A first foldable iPhone

Both outlets report Apple will introduce its first foldable iPhone, referred to in different reports as the iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra. Reported specs include a roughly 7.8-inch inner display and an outer display between 5.3 and 5.5 inches, a liquid metal hinge, an A20 Pro chip with 12GB of RAM, dual rear cameras headlined by a 48-megapixel main sensor, and Touch ID in place of Face ID. Reported pricing runs from about $2,000 to $2,500, with a U.S. launch expected first and other markets following later.

What else is expected

Both outlets also point to updated Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4 models, refreshed HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K hardware, a new smart-display device some reports call 'Home Hub,' and an iPad mini 8 with an OLED screen. MacRumors reports preorders could open September 12, with availability following September 18, though Apple has not confirmed dates.
