The Washington-based children's clothing brand pulled roughly 590 daywear and shorts sets sold online after regulators said the waist drawstrings can catch on objects and choke or trap young children.

The short answer

  • Little Loves & Co. LLC, of Olympia, Washington, recalled about 590 youth clothing sets on Aug. 27, 2026, after the Consumer Product Safety Commission flagged a drawstring entrapment hazard.
  • The recalled items are daywear sets (crew-neck shirts with joggers) and boy short sets (short-sleeve shirts with shorts), sizes 12/18 months through youth 9/10, sold for $15 to $30.
  • They were sold only at littlelovesandco.com and on Whatnot.com between May 2025 and July 2026. No injuries have been reported.
  • Consumers can get a full refund with a prepaid return label, or cut and remove the drawstring to keep the garment.

Little Loves & Co. LLC has recalled about 590 children's clothing sets because the waist drawstring can snag on playground equipment, car doors, or other objects, posing a strangulation and entrapment risk. The Consumer Product Safety Commission posted the recall on Aug. 27, 2026.

What was sold

The recall covers two lines: daywear sets (crew-neck shirts paired with joggers) and boy short sets (short-sleeve shirts paired with shorts), in sizes ranging from 12/18 months up to youth 9/10. Both feature a drawstring at the waist. They sold for $15 to $30 exclusively through littlelovesandco.com and the live-shopping platform Whatnot.com, from May 2025 through July 2026.

The hazard and the fix

CPSC's notice says the drawstrings "can get caught on objects and cause death or serious injury to children due to an entrapment hazard." The company has not reported any incidents or injuries tied to the products. Consumers can return the clothing for a full refund, with Little Loves & Co. providing a prepaid shipping label, or they can cut off and remove the drawstring themselves and keep wearing the garment.
